PRESIDENT’S REPORT
HAPPY VASANTOTSAV
Dear Friends:
The following is a brief report of the Zoom meeting held on Saturday, March 19, 2022. The meeting was anchored by Mr. Pankaj Parikh, VP, and hosted by Mr. Niranjan Patel, Secretary. Proceedings of the meeting were placed on YouTube by Mr. Jagdish Patel, VP-PR. Thanks to all.
The meeting started with a prayer by Drs. Madhubhai & Hansaben Parikh.
1 (i) Celebration of Vasantotsav:
President welcomed members and viewers including those who joined today’s live program, first ever organized, from Ahemedabad. A Vasantotsav program organized by Pushtivrund and Akar Academy celebrating Holi was held in the H.K. College Hall, Ahemedabad in the presence of a live audience. The famous Haveli Kirtankar Shri Krushnadas Nayak along with Ranna Vora and the musicians group entertained for about two hours with Holi Rasiya and dance ramzat which was revved by the live audience and viewers of Zoom and YouTube.
The program started with a video presentation of P.P. Goswami Shri Dwarkeshlalji Mahodaya who conveyed his aashirvachan/blessings and expressed best wishes for the Center. Thereafter, Mr. Amit Parikh from Ahemedabad introduced the chief guest Dr. Darshnaben Thakkar, who had lectured previously to our members, contrasted Nature’s dry Fall season with the evergreen Spring season. She mentioned that people normally frown up on the Fall season compared to the Spring season, but a person who maintains internal peace of mind and wishes good for others will always have a Spring season through out the year.
The Rasiya program was aptly anchored by Mr. Sumitkumar Sharma. The ensemble unleashed Holi Rasiyas in Brijwasi, Hindi, Gujarati and Punjabi languages which included
The audience as well as the Zoom viewers enthusiastically danced to the tunes of melodious Rasiya. Holi was celebrated with the showering of flower petals instead of spraying of colors.
