PRESIDENT’S  REPORT

Dear Friends:

The following is a brief report of the Thursday, February 18, 2021 Zoom meeting. It is recorded and placed promptly on YouTube by Jagdish Patel, VP-PR. The meeting was anchored by Pankaj Parikh, VP. It was hosted by Jagdish Patel and co-hosted by Niranjan Patel, Secretary. Thanks to all. 

1. The 3rd day of Lagnotsav:
 
The meeting started with a prayer by Bhartiben Desai. 

In his welcome address, President assured viewers that today’s finale of the Lagnotsav celebration will match the enjoyment we had on the previous two days’ of the Golden Jubilee celebration. He thanked the Zoom facility which enabled us to celebrate in the warmth of our homes amid snow storm outside. 

Mr. B. Elango, CEO, U.S. Operations, Bank of Baroda, commended EC members for organizing the Lagnotsav and congratulated 13 couples on their Golden Anniversary and showered his best wishes on them. Thereafter, he briefed about Bank of Baroda. 

President thanked Mr. B. Elango for sponsoring and attending all the three days of the gala function despite his busy schedule. Thanks to Ashok Sheth for initiating Bank of Baroda’s Grand sponsorship. 

The Golden Anniversary couples were given a Saree, a shawl and a certificate of recognition which President read out to viewers. 

Although the three-day Lagnotsav was a cordial team work, President requested to unmute all viewers and give a Shout-out to Pankaj Parikh, VP. and Varsha Parikh, EC member, for the concept and planning of the celebration. Jagdish Patel, VP-PR and Niranjan Patel deserve kudos for their time and efforts. 

(i) Musical Program:

Varsha Joshi, a virtuosic singer, revisited us with a host of love songs. Pankaj Parikh, VP, introduced her whose impressive profile is attached. 
She kicked off with love songs which were favored by the Gold Jubilee couples: Jodi Kya Banayi Wah Wah Ramji, Hum Tere Bin Ab Reh Nahi Sakte, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. 

Thereafter, each Gold Jubilee couple shared their love story, some love birds had romance prior to marriage whereas others developed love after their marriage. Varsha Joshi sang favorite songs of Golden Jubilee couples and sponsors:

Thereafter, Varsha Joshi sang melodious songs capping with Aaye Ho Meri Zindagi Mein Tum Bahaar Banke.

(x) Bhajan Sandhya:
